Karl B. Wortwick

Karl B. Wortwick, 70, Mooresville, died in his residence on February 16, 2013. Mr. Wortwick was born August 27, 1942, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late John V. and Jennie (Frink) Wortwick.

He graduated from high school in Massachusetts and proudly served in the United States Air Force as an instructor. Mr. Wortwick was a railroad conductor for many years for Amtrak. He was also employed through the years for New York, New Haven, Hartford, Penn Central, and Conrail Railroads. He enjoyed various collections, including model railroads, watches, and clocks. He moved to Mooresville be live closer to his son in 2002.

Survivors include one son, Kurt Wortwick and his wife Kathy of Mooresville; sisters, Evelyn Kirbach of Florida and Emily Alex of Massachusetts; brother, Karl V. Wortwick of Mississippi.

The service will begin at 3 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013, in the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 p.m. Cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville.
