74, of Paragon, passed away on June 1, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Mooresville. Kay was born on February 9, 1947 in Cash, Arkansas to the late Ruthie (Malone) and Luther Woodruff.

Kay was a family focused, hardworking, loving mother and grandma who worked several jobs at a time to provide for her family, working for IH Hoffman, RCA in Bloomington, Twiggs in Martinsville and Harmon Becker in Martinsville. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids, drinking Dr. Pepper and watching Dale Earnhardt, Sr. race NASCAR.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters Sheila Johnson, Mary Kay Allison; sisters Barbara Owens and Mary Frances “Shortie” Parnell.

She is survived by her son James Allison (Jessica Summers); brothers Vernon Woodruff, H.B. Woodruff, Jerry Woodruff; sisters Betty Jean Stewart, Patsy Level; grandchildren Allison Johnson, Kayla Mitchell, Cory (Hailey) Allison; great grandchildren Isaiah, Silas, Maecie, McKinleigh, Huntleigh, Baby Patrick, Hayden, Sheila, Abel and Thomas.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 4th at 2:00pm in Stilesville Cemetery.
