Kenneth E. Mitchell

Kenneth E. Mitchell, 78, of Camby, passed away November 22, 2019. Kenneth was born September 19, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Earl F. and Wilma (Miller) Mitchell. He married the love of his life Betty L. Kephart on July 12, 1961.

Kenneth was a truck driver for 40 years, retiring from Teamster 135 in 2006. He was a member of the American Legion 103, Mooresville. Kenneth enjoyed street rods and restoring old gas pumps. He also enjoyed all forms of auto racing but in his later years, really enjoyed watching NASCAR. Kenneth was always a hard worker by staying busy on all his projects. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and is going to be greatly missed by his loving family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sandy and Anita.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Mitchell; son, Wendell (Dawn) Mitchell; 3 sisters, Sharon, Beverly, and Judy; grandson, Colton K. Mitchell; and great grandson, John L.A. Mitchell.

Services will be at a later date. Cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville.
