Kenneth Ray McNeff, 90, Mooresville, died peacefully at home December 18, 2013. Mr. McNeff was born June 7, 1923 in Morgan County to the late Robert E. and Doris Adams McNeff. He lived all of his life near his birthplace. He graduated from Martinsville High School and was active in Rural Youth and F.F.A. He was a lifelong member of the Brooklyln Christian Church and had served as elder for many years. He was a member of Brooklyn Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite.
He married Patricia Lich on June 19, 1949, and moved to the family farm where they have lived ever since. He farmed with his father for a few years, but then worked for A.S.C. for a short time before joining Indianapolis Power & Light at the Pritchard Plant, where he worked for 30 years before retiring July 1, 1985. He loved to read and to travel. For several years after his retirement, the couple traveled world wide – all 50 states, Canada, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tahiti.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Pat; their three children, Pamela Burns, Brian and his wife Susan McNeff, Michael and his wife Madelyn McNeff; grandparents of four: Tony and Kris Burns, Clay and Sara McNeff, Carly and Daniel Wingham, Evan and Amy McNeff; great grandchild, Justin Burns.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2013. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brooklyn Christian Church.
