Kimberly Ann Coleman Waite, 53, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home April 12, 2016. Kimberly was born April 24, 1962, in Dayton Ohio, to the late Ronald L. Coleman and Earlene K. (Sanders) Coleman, who survives.
She graduated from Richmond High School in 1980 and earned a BSN degree from Ball State University in 1984. Kim enjoyed a 32 year career as a registered nurse in a variety of positions at IU Health, Franciscan St. Francis Health, and Anthem before retiring due to illness.
Kim met so many wonderful friends and acquaintances along the way who were a huge support during her many years struggling with cancer. Kim would like to thank her husband Matt, family, life-long friends, new friends, caring neighbors, and the wonderful group from the Indy SurviveOars Dragon Boat team of which Kim was a proud member. They all have given their love and support throughout the years. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the wonderful Dr. Mary Lou Mayer and all of those who have cared for Kim during this courageous battle.
Survivors include her husband Matthew Waite, to whom she was united in marriage July 28, 1984; daughter, Kelsey R. Waite; son, Andrew S. Waite; mother, Earlene Coleman; brother, John B. Coleman, mother-in-law, Mary L. Clark; brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts and uncle, nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Kimberly Waite on Saturday, April 16, 2016, 5 to 8 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016, 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Indy SurviveOars Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Team.
