Larry Camden Fowler

Larry Camden Fowler, 69, Monrovia, passed away October 29, 2018. Mr. Fowler was born September 1, 1949, in Martinsville, to the late Eugene Fowler and Betty (Brummett) Turley, who survives.

Larry graduated from Martinsville High School in 1967 and attended classes at IUPUI. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Larry worked for Rock Island Arsenal and Naval Air Warfare Center for 40 years, retiring in 2011 as a cost analyst. He was a member of the NRA, attended Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, and was an accomplished woodworker. He will be remembered for his kindhearted and generous manner. Larry loved to tease and joke, especially with his older brother. Above all, he adored his role as a grandfather. Larry’s memory will be forever cherished by loving family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a step-brother, Terry Turley and a step-sister, Mary Ann Winders.

Survivors include his wife, Sally (Isom) Fowler, to whom he was united in marriage July 28, 1969; mother, Betty Turley; daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Grove of Yorktown; son, Cam (Jessica) Fowler of Ames, Iowa; brother, Dennis Fowler; step-brother, Sonny Sloan of Florida; half-sister, Melissa Wetmore of North Carolina; step sisters, Teresa Mundy of Ellettsville, Vicki Carter of Mooresville, and Suzi Ham of Martinsville; grandchildren, Victoria Foster and Zachary Foster; Maya, Jack, and Lars Fowler.

Friends and family will gather Friday, November 2, 2018, 5 to 7 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
