Larry J. Munzer, 68, Mooresville, died peacefully at home March 18, 2016. Mr. Munzer was born July 11, 1947, in Geneva, Ohio, to the late Neil and Doris (Vehoric) Munzer.
A hard working and honest man, Larry became employed at the Mosler Safe Company and was employed there for 20 years. He was an accomplished pipefitter, successful salesman, and a devoted branch manager for many years.
A man of strong faith, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mooresville and enjoyed daily devotions with his wife, Cathy. Larry coached all three of his sons in various sports and more recently assisted in coach his granddaughters’ team too. He loved to fish, took great pride in his yard and caring for his home, and enjoyed entertaining his family during many cookouts. An avid Colts fan, Larry was a proud season ticket holder. When Larry and Cathy moved to Lakeside Commons, he formed a poker club among neighbors and enjoyed the neighborhood comradery. Above all, Larry was an incredible family man who delighted in spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy (Geeham) Munzer, to whom he was united in marriage December 19, 1966; sons, James Munzer (Sandy) of Indianapolis, Larry N. Munzer of Indianapolis, and Phil Munzer (Hillary) of Mooresville; sisters, Patricia Coach of Indianapolis and Debbie Calabris of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Isabella and Nolan Munzer.
Friends and family will gather on Monday, March 21, 2016, 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Rev. Dennis Payton will officiate the 7 p.m. funeral service. Following cremation, burial will take place in White Lick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Churches in Mission.
