Leona Mae Johnson

Leona Mae Johnson, age 67, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014. Born June 25, 1946, she was the daughter of Leon Casey and Vivian Gaskins. Her husband, Michael J. Johnson, whom she married on April 1, 1967, her father, and son, Michael Johnson, Jr., also preceded her in death.
Leona was a Preschool Teacher at the Woodside Children’s Center. She loved birds, football (especially Peyton Manning) and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer (Troy) Kost and Karen Hagemeier; her mother; her sister, Sandy (Bob) Kimmel; special friends, John and Kay Billiard; and her eight grandchildren.
Friends may call Monday, February 24, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
