LeRoy Waterman
79, of Mooresville, passed away December 30, 2018 at Methodist Hospital. LeRoy was born on October 25, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Edward and Geneva (Cossel) Waterman.
LeRoy retired in 1992 after a 32 year career in Skilled Trades at Allison. He was also a member of U.A.W. #933. A private man, LeRoy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. The Waterman home was known throughout Mooresville as the gathering place where LeRoy would lend a hand to help fix anyone’s bicycle. His family will remember him as a jack of all trades who could fix about anything and often helped them with remodeling projects.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Waterman, Bert Waterman and a grandson Jesse Atwood.
He is survived by wife of 57 years, Lena (Stevens) Waterman; children, LaDonna (Don) Crenshaw, Loretta (Tom) Keys, Lucinda (Butch) Kimmel, LeRoy Waterman Jr., Leonora (Steve) Warfield, Louis (Kelly) Waterman, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 12-2pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with funeral services to start at 2pm Sunday in the funeral home.
Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
