Lester "Babe" Beasley, 79, of Camby, IN died peacefully at 3:15 PM on Monday February 27, 2017 at his home. He was born on December 29th, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Merritt and Ollie (Taylor) Beasley, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Sharon Shaffer on April 18th, 1964 and she survives. He is also survived by his 3 children, Chuck Beasley (Amy), Joan Delk (Don Groves), and Paula Powers (Dave). Also survived by his 8 grandchildren Michelle Powers, Haylee Green, Travis Delk, Jeremy Beasley, Jacob Delk, Trevor Powers, Tanner Beasley, and Peyton Powers, and 2 great grandchildren, Ezekiel Green and Lila Green. He is also survived by 1 brother Ernie Beasley (Peggy). Preceded in death by his brothers Zeke, Andy, Leon, Chuck, John, and Bill and 1 sister, Lois.
He was the owner of Beasley Construction for 32 years. He served in the US Army from 1961-1967. He enjoyed horse racing, NASCAR, and buying and selling golf carts.
A time of visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday March 2nd at the Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville IN. Additional calling will be from 12-1 PM on Friday March 3rd with services beginning at 1 PM at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 E High St Mooresville IN 46158. Burial will be held immediately following at West Newton Cemetery.
