Linda Lou Burge

Linda Lou Burge, 70, of Avon, passed on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Danville Regional Rehabilitation.  She was born on November 17, 1953 in Indianapolis to the late Albert Layton and Mary Margaret (Hiatt) Layton.

She graduated from Northwest High School in Indianapolis.  Shortly after graduation, she married the love of her life, Gary Eugene Burge.  Linda worked in downtown Indianapolis at the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Linda and her husband were members of the Suds Car Club in Greenwood.  She greatly enjoyed rides in their 1967 Chevelle and collecting antiques.  Above all, she relished time spent with family and enjoyed trips to Mount Sterling, Kentucky to visit extended family.

She will be missed by her family and friends including her granddaughter, Sophia Burge of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Margaret; husband, Gary Burge; and son, William Burge.

Linda’s earthly remains have been cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time. Carlilse – Branson Funeral Service and Crematory has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
