Linda Lou Jones Sy

72, of Beech Grove, passed away on March 3, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her family. Linda was born on March 1, 1948 to the late Sylvester C.E. Swatts and Dorothy Alice (Perkins) Swatts in Indianapolis, IN.

Linda grew up in Morgan County and graduated from Martinsville High School. Linda was always helping others and was a nurse’s aide at St. Francis Hospital for 10 years, before retiring. Family was everything to Linda. She enjoyed family gatherings on Sundays for dinner after church and having everyone over for the holidays. Additionally, she enjoyed playing games, traveling to National Parks and watching TV, the Masked Singer, Shark Tank and Days of Our Lives were among her favorites. She was also a faithful woman and was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Beech Grove.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Sindy Jones; her siblings Shirley Hansel, Martha Thompson, Richard Swatts.

She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Tony Sy; her children Michael Jones, Jason Jones, Cheryl Jones, Sandy Jones, Timothy Sy, Holly Sy; a sister Barbara Borden; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12th from 4-7pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 13th at 11am at White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville, IN.
