Lisa Kay Smoot, 53, of Clayton, died all to soon on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born on February 27, 1971 in Indianapolis to the late Lanny Allen Smoot and Helen (Stone) Smoot.
She graduated from Cascade High School in Clayton with the class of 1989. She worked as an independent contractor making pallets. Of Christian faith, she was a member of the House of Prayer in Ellettsville.
Lisa collected ceramics and glassware. She enjoyed playing cards and board games. An avid music lover, she enjoyed playing the piano and was often heard humming. Above all, she loved to play with her granddaughter, Autumn.
She will be missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends including her son, Trent (wife, Robin) Smoot of Camby; sister, Glenda (husband, Jeff) Bell of Mooresville; granddaughter, Autumn Smoot; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, October 25th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Lisa’s Life Celebration® Service will follow beginning at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery following the service.
