Lloyd A. Johnson

76, of Paragon, passed away November 2, 2018 at St Francis Hospital South in Indianapolis. Lloyd was born on October 23, 1942 in Sullivan County, Indiana to the late Charles Avery Johnson and Shirley Vivian (Pope) Johnson.

Lloyd grew up in Monrovia and graduated from Monrovia High School. After high school, he went to work as a forklift and crane operator for General Motors for over 45 years, retiring in 2013. A faithful man, he was an active member of the Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Mooresville for many years, serving in the choir and many other capacities over the years. However, it was his love for his family and spending time with his kids and grandkids that brought him joy. He also enjoyed working on cars and his 1965 Pontiac GTO was his pride and joy!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Joe Johnson.

He is survived by wife of 40 years; Grethel (Brown) Johnson, sons; Barry (Michelle) Johnson, Brian (Tammy) Johnson, Craig Johnson, Jake (Tabitha) Johnson, Zach (Lyndsey) Johnson, Seth (Ariel) Johnson, sisters; Charlotte McPhail, Trudy (Charlie) Gray, Theresa (Mark) May, Rita (Doug) Marczak, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4-8pm at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Mooresville, 1150 State Rd. 144. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10am in the church. Burial will follow the services in Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon, IN.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
