Lonnie Duncan, 64, of Mooresville, died November 20, 2011, in St. Vincent Hospital. Mr. Duncan was born September 9, 1947, in Liberty, Kentucky, to the late Marvin Leo and Ora Elizabeth (Cochran) Duncan.
Mr. Duncan was the founder and owner of Duncan Machine. He was a hard worker and good provider for his family. He enjoyed collecting Case knives and an occasional visit to the casino. Mr. Duncan was a member of Waverly Baptist Church and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jason Scott and Lonnie L. Duncan; sisters, Jewel Mae Rogers, Linda Badgley, and Sue Hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Zella C. Duncan, to whom he was united in marriage July 10, 1971; daughter, Tammy L. Price (James) of Mooresville; brother, Larry Duncan of Morgantown; sisters, Brenda Gragg of Mooresville, Wilma Jarrett of Indianapolis, and Connie Click of Kentucky; grandchildren, Lonnie L. Duncan, Jr., Sara nn Duncan, and Madison Shay Price; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Pastor Paul Gentry will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Kidney Foundation.
