Lowell "Dewey" Ricketts

February 12, 1981 — May 20, 2022

Indianapolis –Lowell T. Ricketts II, or Dewey to his friends, 41, beloved husband and father, passed away on May 20th, 2022. Dewey was born on February 12th, 1981, to Lowell and Barbara (Snyder) Ricketts.

Dewey worked for twenty-three years as a tractor trailer mechanic for Love’s Truck Stops. His dedication at his job was only matched by his determination, as even after a series of health issues limited his mobility, he continued to work.

Outside of work though Dewey was known for his calm demeanor and reliability. More than that, he was the one anyone could turn to in a time of need to be there. Whether that was during his many fireworks shows on the Fourth of July or when he was out fishing. Dewey was a rock that his family was built around.

Dewey is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Barbara.

Dewey is survived by his wife Natasha Ricketts; his daughter Kaylen; brother Chad Ricketts (Billie); and sisters Sue May (Alan) and Jennifer Ricketts.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service and Crematory on Thursday, May 26th, 2022, from 3 – 5 pm in celebration of his life and memory. Funeral services will follow at 5 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Dewey’s name to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
