M. Geraldine Inmon, 97, Mooresville, died January 23, 2015, in Countryside Meadows, Avon. Mrs. Inmon was born March 11, 1917, in Braggadocia, Missouri, to the late Charles Otto and Blanche M. (Sherrille) Ruthledge. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, John Foster.
Geraldine and her late husband, Narlan L. Inmon, were the owners and operators of Western Auto in Mooresville. She was longtime, devoted member of the First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 28 years. Geraldine was responsible for leading many young people to the Lord. The consummate mom, Geraldine could literally do it all- she was an accomplished seamstress, excellent cook, and hard-working lady who would do anything for her family.
Geraldine and Narlan married on June 22, 1935; he died in 1977. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Eugene Ruthledge, Bill Foster, and Lynwood Foster.
Survivors include her children, Bobby Gene Inmon (Tootsie) of Hayti, Missouri, Jerry Lou Alfrey (Bill) of Greenwood, Linda Joy McNabney (Bill) of Medaryville, Indiana, and Donald Inmon (Carol Jean) of Avon; 12 grandchildren, more than 30 great grandchildren, and a host of great great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather on Monday, January 26, 2015, 4 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Rev. Don Endsley will officiate the 10 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
