Mabel L. Knight

Mabel L. Knight, 78, Mooresville, passed away May 14, 2021. Mrs. Knight was born May 31, 1942, in Washington, Indiana, to the late Horatio and Mary (Hurt) Inman.

She graduated from Barr Reeve High School. Mabel worked at Automotive Armature for many years. She was also employed as the cheese shop manager at Marsh Supermarket for more than 20 years. Mabel enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and was an accomplished seamstress. She especially enjoyed making elaborate square dance dresses. Mabel loved traveling to Florida and never turned down an opportunity to sip a margarita on the beach. She will be fondly remembered for her silly personality, her abundant kindness, and her loving, helpful ways.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ray Knight and a sister, Freda Malin.

Survivors include two children, Gregory Bollman and Debbie Schlangen; grandchildren, Megan Roldan, Chloe Bollman, Steven Schlangen, Jr., Kellie Schlangen, Tyler Bollman; great grandchildren, Bryant Lowery, Noah Roldan, Wynter Roldan.

Friends and family are invited to remember and celebrate the life of Mabel Knight on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, 5 to 7 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Rev. Terry Crist will officiate. Burial and committal service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021, 11 a.m., at Nebo Memorial Park, Martinsville.
