Mabel Marie Moore, 87, Mooresville, suddenly passed away on June 24, 2013, in St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville. She was born December 9, 1925, in Putnam County, to the late William and Ruth (Whitlow) Parrish.
Mabel graduated from Avon High School. She was a faithful member of Eternal Life Baptist Church, Mooresville. Mabel worked in the Dietary Department at Kendrick Hospital for 15 years. She also worked as a custodian for the Mooresville Schools for 20 years; retiring in 2009. A very kind and soft hearted individual, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Moore; grandchild, Russell June; brothers, Henry, Harold, William, Joe, and Leon Parrish; sisters, Virginia Johnson, Nola Ferguson, and Maxine Richardson.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret June (William) of Mooresville; grandchildren, Karen Barker of Ohio and Derek June of Mooresville; great grandchildren, Wyatt Brake, Trinity Warrick, Torrin Barker, and Taylor Barker; nephew, Jackie Ferguson (Pam) of Monrovia and Jerry Ferguson (Carol) of Monrovia.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013, in the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8p.m., Wednesday. June 26, 2013. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Pastor Don Endsley will officiate the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer, 1099 N.
