Margaret M. Brown, 97, of Martinsville, passed away July 12, 2021, at home. Margaret was born September 21, 1923, in Morgan County, to the late Everet and Elsie E. (Selch) Hicks.
Margaret had a strong Christian faith in the Baptist Church. She worked multiple jobs through her long life such as USPS carrier, Mallory, Mooresville High School as a Maintenance Supervisor, and Grace Church. Margaret was always known as an extremely hard worker. There were some tough times in her life, but she always worked through them, and it made her into the women she was.
Margaret and her husband, William, enjoyed life to the fullest together. They would take road trips across America in their camper. On the trips one of the main stops was going to bluegrass festivals. She really enjoyed dancing especially with her husband. Margaret even made a trip up to Alaska. There are many pictures taken of the places she visited and friends she made through the years. Margaret was an animal lover with an extra big heart towards dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William and her beloved dog, Buddy.
