Maribeth O’Brian, 70, Martinsville, died June 30, 2014, in Community Hospital North. Maribeth was born June 24, 1944, in Indianapolis, to the late Robert and Martha (McClure) O’Brian.
She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School, graduated from Howe High School, and attended Indiana University. She was employed for 23 years at AT&T, while living in Florida and Indiana. Most recently, she owned and operated Artisian Books by Tinkerbelle and Mimi in Martinsville. Maribeth was an avid reader and also enjoyed hosting foreign exchange students through the years.
Survivors include one brother, Michael J. O’Brian; aunts and uncles, Mary Roberts, Robert Hughes, Sr., Bill and Beverly O’Brian and children; niece, Anne Margaret O’Brian; great niece, Cassandra O’Brian; cousins, Dr. Jeffrey O’Brian and sister Andrea; Robert and Patty Hughes; special friend, Kathy Goss and Family; beloved canine companions, Tinkerbelle and Mimi.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014, in St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Drive East, Indianapolis, with calling there from 10 a.m. Interment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
