Marilyn Kay Kirk, 76, of Martinsville, passed away on January 1, 2023. Marilyn was born in Indianapolis on Valentine’s Day, 1946, to the late Charles & Rosalind McDonald. Marilyn was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis. She loved QVC and seemed to always have a least a box or two on the porch. She enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars with the Perkins family and Blue Bloods. Marilyn was an avid sports fan and could often be found enjoying a Colts game or an IU basketball game. She was always willing to lend an ear to her children, grandchildren, and friends. She had a sweet tooth and would often ask her children for a hot fudge sundae from Dairy Queen, hold the ice cream! Marilyn was a two-time breast cancer survivor, yet rarely complained.
Marilyn is survived by her children; Joel Timothy (Jill) Moore, Julie A. Prophet, Cindy Perkins, Diana Justus
(Mike), Kim (Wayne) Pennington, and Dan Perkins, along with her best friend; Judi Satterthwaite, grandchildren; Joel Andrew (Briana) Moore, John Matthew Prophet, Gabriella Claire Prophet, Brittany (Nate) Bingham, Samantha Kay Perry and Dalton (Macy) Perry and great-grandchildren; Izzy, Everett, Oliver, and Colt, Rylan, Kordyn, Kooper, Emberlynn.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her first husband; Joel T. Moore, second husband; Richard Allen Kirk, and son; Michael Perkins.
