Marjorie “Marge” Snider
91, of Mooresville, passed away on May 9, 2024 at Meadow Lake in Mooresville. Marge was born on February 7, 1933 in Bringhurst, Indiana to the late Fritz Schnepf and Esther (Wingard) Schnepf.
Marge was a graduate of Purdue University. She taught at Southport High School, as well as working as a Boone County home extension agent in Lebanon and at the Michigan Consolidated Gas Company. However, her most important and cherished role was as a stay-at-home mother, to help shape her son Mark, into the man he is today. Additionally, she served as the primary caregiver for her mother-in-law in the final years of her life. She was a faithful and longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Mooresville. She and her husband, Lloyd enjoyed traveling all over Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, Budapest, Amsterdam, the British Isles and Western Canada. Her warm, kind, beautiful spirit, will be missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Fritz Schnepf and a sister-in-law, Eunice Snider.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lloyd Snider; son Mark Snider (Wendy); sisters Martha DeRiter, Mary Lou Endres; grandchildren Dr. Courtney Snider (Steven Nuttle), Matt Snider (Emily); great grandchild Beckett Nuttle, and a brother-in-law Arthur Snider.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Marge’s life on Saturday, May 18th at 1:00pm, at the First United Methodist Church of Mooresville, 900 Indianapolis Rd, Mooresville, with visitation Saturday, May 18th from 11:00am until the services at 1:00pm at the church.
