Martha Lou (Park) Haymaker, 94, life long Mooresville resident, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, July 21, 2019. Mrs. Haymaker was born August 16, 1924, in Mooresville, to the late Oscar and Blanche (Leisure) Park. Martha married the late Max G. Haymaker on October 16, 1943.
Martha and Max had three children, the late Gary, Jayne Ann Harris of Mooresville, and Debbie L. Fishel of Whitestown. Additional survivors include 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Edwards and a grandson, Eric Haymaker.
Martha was a member of Mt. Gilead Church. She worked for more than twenty years at Hadley Cook & Quillen in the 1980’s and 90’s. She loved to crochet and was known for her delicious Sunday dinners for her family. Martha has been a loving, soft spoken, witty, generous presence to all who knew her. Those who think of her will smile.
Friends and family will gather Friday, July 26, 2019, 1pm to 3 pm in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Services will follow at 3 pm, with burial at Bluff Creek Cemetery.
