Martin “Marty” Unger, 47, Mooresville, died suddenly May 25, 2015. Marty was born February 16, 1968, in East Chicago, to the late Fred and Mary (McGrath) Unger.
Marty attended Roosevelt High School in East Chicago. He had worked as a concrete finisher for Creighton Concrete in Martinsville for 20 years. Most recently, he was employed at Advantage Engineering in Greenwood. Marty enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was known to enjoy a cold beverage, and always liked a good party. He also enjoyed sports, especially watching college and professional basketball.
Survivors include his wife, Angela (Short) Unger; children, Martin Unger, II, Joe Unger, Aryonnah Richardson, Alison Short, Kimberly Unger, all of Mooresville; brothers, Michael and Fred Unger, both of East Chicago; sister, Kimberly Rodriguez of East Chicago; grandchildren, Martin Unger, III and one granddaughter, Brooklynn, who is on the way.
Friends and family will gather on Thursday, May 28, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The service to celebrate Marty’s life will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2015. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
