Mary "Glenda" Mason

Mary "Glenda" Mason, 72, of Kasilof, Alaska, passed away July 10, 2019. She was born October 3, 1946, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, to Claude L. and Maggie Elizabeth (Cooper) Hendricks; her mother still survives.

Glenda graduated from Beth Haven Baptist Church Bus Director School in Kentucky. She has lived in several beautiful states in her lifetime, such as Alaska, Colorado, Kentucky, Virginia, and Indiana. Glenda was a member of Light House Baptist Church in Alaska. Before moving to Alaska she was also a member of New Life Baptist Church. Mrs. Mason was a Christian and would always be involved as the Sunday school teacher or in any church activity. Glenda was the secretary of Brighton Crane which Stanley and Glenda owned together. In her down time, Glenda enjoyed crocheting, artistic crafts, and gardening. She is going to be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Claude L. Hendricks; brothers, Ronnie Hendricks, Jonathan "Eddie" Hendricks, and Michael Hendricks; and a sister, Joy Franklin.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Stanley E. Mason, of Kasilof, Alaska; a son, David Eugene Mason of Colorado; daughters, Laura Ann Young of Colorado, Tara Yolandasue (Barry) Stoner of Iowa, and Sarah Deann (Paul) Schackmann of Colorado; a brother, Jimmy Hendricks of Virginia; a sister, Mildred Spoon of Mooresville; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019, at New Life Baptist Church: 8020 N Old State Rd 67, Mooresville, IN 46158.
