Mary “Libby” Sutherlin Weber, 63, Mooresville, passed away April 18, 2018, after a brief illness. Mary was born November 11, 1954, in Camp Kilmer, New Jersey, to the late Robert Julian and Virginia Alice (Lonergan) Sutherlin.
Mary graduated from Southport High School in 1972. The family moved to Mooresville in 1991, and she was employed as the general manager of the local Ponderosa for many years. Mary had worked as a support supervisor at Citizens Bank main branch for the past 15 years. She loved boating, water skiing, was fond of animals, and never met a beach that she did not like. She was an avid Colts fan who had a strong admiration for our former quarterback. Mary’s favorite hobby was anything that involved being with her grandchildren, Tyler and Wyatt. Mary was simply full of life and had a contagious smile that will be sorely missed by her loving family, many friends, and customers at the bank.
Survivors include her husband, James P. Weber, to whom she was united in marriage April 20, 1974; daughter, Jennifer Weber of Mooresville; son, Jonathan (Lindsey) Weber of Clayton; step-son, Paul (Montiel) Hancock of Indianapolis; brothers, Michael (Susan) Sutherlin, Robert “Bobby” (Frankie) Sutherlin, Jr., and Mark (Margaret) Sutherlin; sisters, Leslie Sanford, Virginia Sutherlin, and Theresa (Dave) Otto; grandsons, Tyler and Wyatt Weber.
