Mary Jo Troxell

Mary Jo Troxell was born March 17, 1938, to Mattie Irene and Arnold Gordan Craft in Columbia, South Carolina.  She married James Robert Lee Troxell on September 20, 1955, in South Carolina.  They then moved to Indiana that same year, then to Mooresville, Indiana in 1959, where they remained.  She retired as a System Analyst from American States/SAFECO, with 43 years of service.  Attended First Baptist Church, Mooresville, Indiana.

She is a proud member of the Ten O’Clock Line Chapter of the DAR, Nathan Bedford Forrest of the UDC Granddaughters Club, United States Daughters of 1812 Dames, and Charter Member of Gen. John Hunt Morgan Chapter of UDC.  She was a Red Hat Sparkler and a Bay View Club member.  She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, traveling, writing stories, painting, and doing arts and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Robert Lee Troxell; Father, Archie Gordan Craft; Mother, Mattie Irene Craft; Brother, Archie Craft; Sister, Frankie Young (Roy); Sister, Joyce Morobitto (Carl).

Mary Jo leaves behind to treasure her memory, Sons: James Troxell (Sherrie); Scott Troxell (Michelle), Grandchildren: Nicole Austin, Christopher Austin, Austin Jordan (Brittany);ayHay  Sisters-in-Law: Maryona Baker (Jimmy), Ina Rickenbaugh (Charlie), Jane Wilson (Lowell), Jan Troxell; Nieces & Nephews and their spouses: Linda Smith, Donnie Young, Jenny Byrd, Joy Cooper, Eve Hipp, Lisa Morobitto, Terri Ricciardelli, Carrie Rahman, Bill Rickenbaugh, Tom Troxell, Rae Ann Graeber, Dave Wilson, Jeanie Domenech, Danny Wilson, Darrell Kidd, Kenneth Kidd, Tony Kidd; Great Grandchildren: Brynn Burton & Ellis Burton; and many Great Grand Nieces & Nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Funeral Services will start at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana.
