Maurice James Fredriksz, 64, of Danville, passed away October 21, 2012, in his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 17, 1948, in Jakarta, Indonesia, to the late Jony Ido and Peggy Agnes (Crist) Fredriksz.
Maurice graduated from Northwest High School in 1968. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served actively during the Vietnam War. Maurice was a member of the V.F.W. He worked in the motor freight department for Trans Con Lines in Indianapolis for many years. He also owned and operated a carpet cleaning business. Mr. Fredriksz enjoyed bird watching and feeding, along with cooking and eating. He loved all animals and was always willing to help them.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine (Polsgrove) Fredriksz of Danville, to whom he was united in marriage on October 18, 1968; son, Scott Fredriksz (Erin) of Fillmore; daughter, Tami Hoy (Nathan) of Fishers; brother, Randy Fredriksz of California; grandson, Elias Fredriksz.
A memorial service will be held at 3p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012, in the Harvest House International Church, 10089 N. Kitchen Rd., Mooresville, with calling there an hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Veterans Administration.
