Merline Acton Parks, 84, longtime Mooresville resident, passed away peacefully at home July 12, 2018. She was born April 1, 1934, in Tennessee.
Merline retired from the Allison Division of General Motors after more than 20 years of employment. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and knitting. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Acton and James Parks; one daughter, Tina Hillman; siblings, Orval Moore, Milford Moore, Louie Moore, Ada Jones, and Valerie "Blondie" Holman.
Survivors include one son, Tim (Patty) Acton; granchildren, Angela Pugh, Stephanie Cronin, Heather Hillman, Jason Hillman; 8 great grandchildren; special niece, Paulette Wesley.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in the chapel at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with visitation there from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018.
