Michael Clay Wiggins

Michael Clay Wiggins, 62, of Martinsville, passed away suddenly at home October 18, 2019. Michael was born December 9, 1956, in Martinsville, Indiana, to Harold Wiggins and Idelpha (Tuttle) Higginbothom.

Michael proudly served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed working on vehicles and also was a mechanic for many years. Michael enjoyed watching TV, collecting guns and knives, and free firewood. His biggest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Michael is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death to his father, Harold Wiggins; step-father, Edward “Higgy” Higginbothom.

Survivors include his loving wife of 19 years, Beth Wiggins of Martinsville; mother, Idelpha Higginbothom of Martinsville; children, Michael W. Wiggins of Martinsville, Michelle (David) Lee of Mooresville, Justin D. (Stacy) Fields of Martinsville, and Summer Fields of Mooresville; a brother, Patrick (Patti) Wiggins of Martinsville; and grandchildren, Alexis, Sydona, and Phoebe.

According to Michael’s wishes, services will be not be observed. Cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help assist with funeral cost.
