Michael Dana Flock

Michael Dana Flock, age 56, passed away on December 1, 2021. Born on December 9, 1964, he lived in Greenwood, Mooresville, and Anderson. After graduating from Center Grove High School and ITT Technical Institute in Indianapolis, he began his lifelong career as a Telecommunications Engineer, with Ascension Health (St. Vincent Hospital).

Mike lived life to the fullest, sharing everyday joys and passions with wife Tammy Flock. Mike enjoyed music, travel, hiking, biking, boating, and kayaking. He was passionate about cars and racing with his brother Tim and Dad, John. He also shared his passion of working on cars, with his son Travis or just simply hanging out and visiting. He loved to visit his mother Helen and sister Chris in North Carolina. Mike found the simplest things in nature beautiful and pure. Most of all, he brought joy to others. People walked away from a conversation with Mike with a smile on their face and happiness in their hearts.

Mike is preceded in death by his dad, John Harold Flock.

Mike is survived by his wife Tammy Flock, son Travis Flock (fiancé Justina Holstrum), stepdaughter Nisha (Eric) English, stepson Trevor Gregory, mother, Helen Flock, sister Chris (Paul) Ryskiewich, brother Tim (Diana) Flock, stepmother Subrena Flock, stepsister Tracy (Andy) Leininger, grandkids Sadie and Liam Gregory who affectionately called him “Sugar” as well as nephews Daniel Ryskiewich, Alex (Caroline) Ryskiewich, Carter Leininger and Stokely Leininger.

There was never a stranger when Mike was around. He was good and kind and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

Family and Friends will gather to celebrate Mike’s life on Saturday, March 12th from 2-4pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with services beginning Saturday at 4pm in the funeral home.
