Mildred "Frances" Ratts McClure

Mildred “Frances” Ratts McClure, 88, Eminence, was called home on January 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 21, 1924, in Morgan County.

Frances was a member of the Eminence Christian Church, Eminence Order of the Eastern Star #546, and enjoyed frequently attending Hazelwood Christian Church. She loved flowers, gardening, baking, canning, and any dog that crossed her path. Above all, Mrs. McClure’s heart was full when she was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lottie (Bryant) Milhon; husband, William “Floyd” Ratts; brothers, James and Gilbert Milhon; sister, Mary Clarkson.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Stagner and husband, Terrell of Eminence and Florida, Claudia Pruitt of Clayton, and Brenda Caudill, and husband Terry of Plainfield; grandchildren, Tracey, Trina, Karey, Les, Jessica, and Matthew; 7 great grandchildren; and her canine companion, Tucker.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013. Pastors Terry Pebble and Steve Ranson will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Olive Cemetery, Paragon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the donor’s choice.
