Mildred Louise Holland, 87, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Holland was born November 28, 1928, in Tell City, Indiana, to the late Jesse and Marjorie Bolin.
A hard working lady, Mrs. Holland did factory work, but primarily had worked in nursing homes as a nurse’s aide. She also worked at the Mayberry Caf. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed riding horses, crocheting, and was a very generous lady. A talented musician, she could play the guitar and harmonica. Above all, Mildred will be remembered as a loving and caring mother who adored her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Holland; siblings, Melvin “Buddy” Kopacke and Marjorie Bolin; one great grandson, Benjamin Brown.
Survivors include her five daughters, Sharon Lewis (Michael) of Lizton, Rita Slayman of Mooresville, Therese Herbert of Bandera, Texas, Paula Patterson of Mooresville, and Marjorie Grabner of Indianapolis; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Mildred Louise Holland on Monday, April 25, 2016, 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. A committal and burial service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 1 p.m. in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
