Nadeen Biddinger, 73, Mooresville, passed away December 29, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. Nadeen was born July 22, 1944, in Indianapolis, to the late Allen and Dowayne (Garrison) Hoppes.
She was an accomplished student at Arsenal Technical High School and later graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana Wesleyan with a BSBA degree. Nadeen worked for the Marion County Auditor’s Office, the Marion County Clerk’s Office, and as Chief of Operations for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office from 1995-1999. She was the Deputy Director of Operations for the City of Indianapolis/Marion County from 1999-2005. Nadeen then served at Senior Manager of the Government Finance Officers Association from 2005 until her retirement in 2013.
She was a member of the Mooresville First United Methodist Church, where she was a part of the bell choir. She was also a member of the Circular Sock Knitting Machine Society of the United States and an active member of the Indiana Bead Society. Additionally, Nadeen volunteered for many years for the Indianapolis Star Call for Action group. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.
Survivors include her husband, John Biddinger, to whom she was united in marriage August 19, 1972; children, Christina Ann (Stephen) Baker and Derek Scott Biddinger, both of Indianapolis; brother, Gregory (Marlene) Hoppes of Kokomo; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Nadeen Biddinger will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, January 5, 2017, in the First United Methodist Church, 900 Indianapolis Road, Mooresville. Friends may call at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
