Nadine (Jones) Liford

71, of Mooresville, IN passed away on May 31, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Nadine was born on September 11, 1947 in Jamestown, Kentucky to the late William Ice Jones and Clody Mae (Weston) Jones.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nadine will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends. Her children describe her as an amazing woman, who was outspoken and had no filters when it came to telling you how she felt, but you always knew that she loved you. In her younger years, she and her husband Clifford were both Indiana State Champion Archers in 1979. Additionally, she and Clifford enjoyed going to the casinos together as well as tending to their garden; a tradition of which the children have kept up since their father’s passing and their mother’s ill health no longer allowed her to garden. Although she never learned to drive, she was known as a great backseat driver who could always give great directions on how to get somewhere, despite sharing her opinion on how good or lack thereof, your driving skills may be.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clifford W. “Bubby” Liford and 3 brothers and one sister.

Survivors include children, Clifford Liford, Jr. of Greenwood, Dana (Kenneth) Alsup of Camby, Kay (John) Billiard of Monrovia, Alan (Michelle) Liford of Greenwood, and Roberta Lynn (Jenny) Liford of Nicholasville, Kentucky; sisters Katheleen Hansel, Maxine Todd, Willdean Saleak; seven grandchildren, Kenneth and Michelle Alsup; Molly and Teagan Billiard; Kayla, Connor, and Michael Liford.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 3rd in the chapel at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10:00am, Tuesday, June 4th at the funeral home, with burial following in New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis.
