Nancy Ulrey

Nancy Ulrey, 72, Monrovia, passed away February 17, 2016, in Seton Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis. Nancy was born April 4, 1943, in Indianapolis, to the late Alvin Charles and Mary Lucy (Campbell) Wonders.

A graduate of Brownsburg High School, Nancy worked as a clerk at the Marion County Public Library, Southport Branch for a number of years. She enjoyed reading and stayed active by doing water aerobics at the Plainfield Aquatics Center. A student of Rev. Steininger of Nashville, Indiana, Nancy enjoyed oil painting and most recently, china painting; She was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling with her sister, Butch to numerous destinations within the U.S. and abroad.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ulrey and brothers, Daniel and Robert Wonders.

Survivors include two sons, Charles E. Ulrey (Candy) of Monrovia and Michael E. Ulrey (Sharissa) of Cloverdale; daughters, Anna Marie Weddle (Thomas A.) of Monrovia and Sherrie L. Jett (Jim Hansen) of Monrovia; sisters, Butch Miles of Greencastle; Maggie Johnson of Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Nancy Ulrey on Sunday, February 21, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be next to her husband in the Greenwood Cemetery.
