65, of Mooresville, passed away on December 25, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center in Florida. Neena was born on December 29, 1955, in Indianapolis, IN to the late John Otto Neitzel and Betty Ruth (Pennington) Neitzel.
She and Dennis owned and operated Indy’s College Bookstore on the IUPUI Campus for many years, before retiring. In her younger years, Neena enjoyed horseback riding, dancing, and singing. She was active with leading the church choir and Vacation Bible School at Heritage Christian Church in Mooresville and later was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Church.
Her big heart and empathetic nature, lead her to volunteer at Camp Allendale and other places where there was a need. Whether it was buying coats for coat drives, donating furniture to help missionaries, she was always there behind the scenes living out her faith in serving others. Neena also had a creative side, often making Easter baskets for close friends and family members. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, usually the latest James Patterson mysteries, watching all the Reality TV shows and cheering on IU Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. However, her favorite place to be, was spending time with her grandchildren and being on the beach in Florida. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Linda Williams, Patty Fisher, and nephew Johnny Giordano.
