Nona E. Sawyer, 84, Mooresville, died February 1, 2012, in West Washington Health Care. Mrs. Sawyer was born in Liberty, Kentucky, May 23, 1927, to the late Claud and Zora (Turpin) Wilcher.
Mrs. Sawyer was a proud homemaker and also worked for 22 years for Automotive Armature, retiring in 1989. She was a member of North Madison Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Sawyer, four brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Barbara) Sawyer of Plainfield; brother, Kenny (Imogene) Wilcher of Mooresville; sister, Bertha Payton of Morgantown; granddaughter, Mindi (John) Osgatharp of Plainfield; grandson, Michael (Amber) Sawyer of Knoxville, Tennessee; three great grandchildren, Alexis, Grayson, and William “Liam”.
The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 12:30 p.m. Pastor Billy Gott will officiate, and burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Senior Services.
