Nora Nina Studer, 93, Brooklyn, died at 11:50 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2014, in Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer, Indiana, with her son Eldon by her side, as she rejoined her late husband, Martin.
Nora Nina was born May 1, 1921, in Perry County, Ohio, with her twin sister, Dora Dina, to the late Clarence E. and Lorena (Branstetter) First. She married Martin Hubert Studer on April 6, 1944. They enjoyed traveling abroad and throughout the United States. They had been residents of Rittman, Ohio (near Wooster), Marion, Indiana, San Francisco, California, Seattle, Washington, Latterburg, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana, Mooresville, Indiana, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Gosport, Indiana, prior to making her home at the Owen Valley Health Campus.
Nora Nina had a strong faith and had been a long time member of Spring Hill Christian Center with Pastors Bill and Mark Wright. More recently, she was a member of Bethel Friends in Mooresville for the past twelve years. She will be remembered by many church families for her accordion accompaniment and her beautiful singing.
Survivors include her daughter, Venica Marie (Studer) Hinson of Andover, Ohio; son, Eldon Martin Studer of Gosport; sisters, Oneida Hooser of Martinsville, Coralee Hobbs of Fort Myers, Florida, and Darlene Dipietro or Wadsworth, Ohio; four grandchildren, Christina Zike (Richard) of Brooklyn, Angela Kite of Andover, Ohio, Donna Hinson of Kirtland, Ohio, and Thomas Studer of Mooresville; ten great grandchildren, Andre Shirk, Shane Campbell, Stephanie Robertson, William Robertson, Samantha Evans, Emily Kite, Kevin Huskisson, Elizebeth Zike, Hunter Studer, and Fisher Studer; three great great grandchildren, Madyson Huskisson, Trentyn Huskisson, and Kyla Evans.
Rev. Cameron Bottema will officiate the 1 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Burial will be in the Bethel Friends Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Bethel Friends Cemetery Fund, c/o the Bethel Friends Church.
