Oneida O. Hooser, 90, Mooresville, passed away January 18, 2017. Mrs. Hooser was born January 3, 1927, in Barberton, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Lorena (Branstetter) First.
She worked at Nice Pak and in various restaurants through the years. During her retirement years, she worked as a baker at Perkins. Oneida was a devoted member of the Abounding Grace Worship Center. An accomplished musician, she enjoyed playing the piano and singing at church. She and her late husband, Warren, took great pride in their vegetable garden, and they always looked forward to sharing the harvest. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Oneida’s memory will be cherished by her loving family and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Warren Hooser; and nine siblings.
Survivors include her sons, Randy Hooser (Shari) of Wilbur, Gary Hooser (Taffy) of Martinsville, and Jerry Hooser (Cindy) of Canada; daughter, Lorena Park (Bruce) of Martinsville; sisters, Coralie Hobbs of Kentucky and Darlene DePietro of Ohio; 21 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather on Saturday, January 21, 2017, 2 to 5 p.m. in the chapel at
Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2017, in the funeral home. Rev.
