Pamela Jenkins

65, of Plainfield, passed away on February 7, 2019 at Hendricks Regional Health after a courageous battle. Pam was born on June 22, 1953 in Indianapolis, IN to the late William R. Downing and Mabel M. (Bell) Downing.

Pam grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Ben Davis High School. She soon embarked on a 40 year plus career in the restaurant business, starting out as a server working her way up to manager and finally owning her own restaurants, Eagles Lodge in Mooresville, Brooklyn, Wilbur, with the most famous being Pam’s Corner Café in Mooresville. She married Terry Jenkins on June 13, 1998 and they recently celebrated 20 years of marriage in 2018. She was a proud wife, mother and grandmother. She was a Christian however, the tough hours of the restaurant business wouldn’t allow her to attend church on a regular basis, but that never deterred her of her faith in her Lord and Savior. Her family described her as an excellent cook, a people person, a hard worker and above all else she was dedicated to her family and was there whenever they needed her. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Eric Wagoner and daughter Angela Chamberlain.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 20 years, Terry Jenkins; sister Carol Anderson; 3 grandchildren Eli Kingston, Zachary (Amanda) Smith, Alexis (Vaughn) Decker; best friend Kathy Wallace and her grandkids, who Pam adopted them as her own, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11am in the funeral home, with Chaplain Dave Clayton officiating. Burial will follow the services in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield where she will be laid to rest next to her son.
