Paul Barnes, 84, Monterey, Tennessee, formerly of Camby, died February 6, 2012, at his son’s residence in Camby. Mr. Barnes was born February 28, 1927, in Morrison, Tennessee, to the late Tom and Melissa (Reed) Barnes.
He worked for Bridgeport Brass for 40 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Barnes was a member of Green Pond Masonic Lodge #403 in Tennessee and formerly a member of Mooresville Masonic Lodge #78. He enjoyed boating, traveling, and spending time on the water at Dale Hollow.
Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his siblings, Alvin Barnes, Sr., Melvin Barnes, Mary Smith, and Martha Henry.
Survivors include his wife, Stella (Hargis) Barnes, to whom he was united in marriage February 11, 1952; sons, Danny Barnes of Camby, Donny Barnes of Mooresville, and Larry Barnes of Camby; sister, Edna Pulley of Camby; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2012.
