Paula R. Parker

56, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 4, 2024 at IU West Hospital. Paula was born on June 20, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Darrell Smith and Betty (Barnett) Smith, who survives.

After graduating from Ben Davis High School, Paula worked as an inspector for Allison Transmission for 14 years, until her health would no longer allow. She loved spending time with her grandkids, reading, traveling to the Caribbean and to her cabin in Tennessee.  She loved her fur-baby Gabbie and her fur-grandbabies Graham and Winston. All animals gravitated towards her gentle, caring nature. She will be remembered for her love for her family. Although she could be stubborn at times, she was honest, dependable and would help anyone in need.

She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Scott Parker; daughter Heather Bryan; sons Aaron Foster and wife Sandy, Kameron Parker and wife Sammi; mother Betty Smith; sisters Tonya Richey, Melissa Sullivan; brother Kenny Smith and wife Susan, as well as the lights of her life, her grandchildren Hadleigh, Stephen, and Harlow.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Paula’s life on Friday, February 9th from 4-7pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made in Paula’s memory to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, 733 Third Avenue, Suite 510, New York, NY 10017
