Peggy Ann Baldwin

Peggy Ann Baldwin, 71, of Martinsville, died on Friday, October 27, 2023, at her home with family by her side.  She was born in Bloomfield, Indiana to the late Bobbie Ray Smith and Betty Jean (Bische) Smith on November 28, 1951.

She graduated from Greenwood High School with the class of 1969.  She worked as a Customer Service Representative for AT&T for over 25 years before her retirement.  Over 35 years ago, she married the love of her life, Richard Baldwin.

Peggy greatly enjoyed cooking and feeding those around her.  A phenomenal cook, she never made a bad meal.  Some of her family’s favorites include her meatballs and mashed potatoes, potato soup, and chicken and dumplings.  She also enjoyed watching the news, crocheting, knitting, and vegetable gardening.

She leaves behind her loving family and friends including her husband, Richard Baldwin of Martinsville; sons, James Dunham II of Mooresville and Kelly Dunham of Martinsville; brother, Lyle Smith of Plainfield; sister, Melinda Gabehart of Mooresville; and grandchildren, Alycia Dunham, Jaron Dunham, and Makenzie Gibson. 

In keeping with Peggy’s wishes her earthly remains will be cremated and there are no public services.  The cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Carlilse-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory in Mooresville.
