Peggy Jane McClanahan

Peggy Jane McClanahan, 56, Camby, died August 3, 2011, at her daughter’s residence in Indianapolis. Peggy was born January 12, 1955, in Vincennes, Indiana.

Peggy graduated from Mooresville High School in 1973. She had been a legal secretary for 30 years at various law offices. An animal lover, Peggy was especially fond of her dog, Cooper, her cat, Sophie, and her horse, Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Buck McClanahan.

Survivors include her daughter, Dayna Blackwell Jones and her husband, William of Indianapolis; mother, Doris Johnson McClanahan of Camby; brother, Mike McClanahan of Martinsville; sisters, Susan Bunch (David) of Mooresville and Jill McClanahan of Camby; grandchildren, Ahmoni and Camron Jones of Indianapolis; nieces and nephews, Peyton Bullimore; Sara, Patrick, and Kevin Bunch.

The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 to 7 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011. Cremation will follow the service, and burial of the urn will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan County Humane Society.
