Penny L. Majors

Penny L. Majors, 52, Monrovia, passed away April 4, 2019. Penny was born August 18, 1966, in Indianapolis, to the late John W. and Jacqueline (Rickard) Gatlin.

She attended John Marshall High School and Arlington High School. Penny married Robert S. Majors on June 13, 1987. Penny was a proud homemaker and enjoyed caring for her husband and sons. When time permitted, she worked as a substitute teacher at Monrovia and Hall Elementary Schools. She also worked at the Mooresville Kroger for several years. She will be fondly remembered for her compassionate and caring ways.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew Steven Majors.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; sons, Jonathan (Carolyn) Majors of Carmel and Bradley Majors of Clayton; sisters, Kathy Duncan of Mooresville and Mila Dyson of Cicero; brother, John Gatlin, Jr. of Indianapolis.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Penny Majors from 2 – 5 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2019, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. The committal and burial will take place on Monday morning at 10 a.m., at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.
