Perry B. Cravens, 75, of Camby, passed away October 24, 2020 at home. Perry was born April 30, 1945, Jamestown, Tennessee, to the late Delmar and Dorothy (Sells) Cravens.
Perry was a godly man. He was a member of Eternal Life Baptist church. Perry was in the construction industry for over 54 years as a framer building homes. Perry liked working with his hands; he enjoyed building decks and mini barns. Perry even built the home that he and Connie lived in. His biggest joy in life was his family. Perry was well known as an attentive husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steve Cravens; siblings, Jay, Willis, Birdie, and Patsy Cravens; and a granddaughter, Lindzay Sue.
Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Connie S. Cravens, children, Joe (Sheri) Cravens, Teresa (Chuck) Nicholas, Dave (Trenda) Atwell, and Richard (Andrea) Atwell; siblings, Jim (Joyce) Cravens, Judy Scott, Carolyn (James) Scruggs, and Dolly (Clyde) Mask; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Perry’s life on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. The family has requested that everyone remember to social distance themselves due to COVID-19 and to keep your visit to 15 minutes or less.
