Phillip W. Felix, 71, Plainfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on November 14, 2017. Mr. Felix was born September 3, 1946, in Milan, Indiana to the late Alfred Joseph and Katherine, J. (Risk) Felix.
Phil graduated from Monrovia High School in 1965. He enjoyed a lengthy career at Eli Lilly & Company that spanned 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a devoted member of the Mooresville Friends Meeting where he served as trustee for many years. Phil enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to seeing new places. In addition to being strongly devoted to his family, he will be fondly remembered for his selflessness and willingness to help others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Felix; sisters, Patricia, Connie, and Robin.
Survivors include his wife, Susan (White) Felix, to whom he was united in marriage August 3, 1979; children, Catherine Wagner, Douglas Kitchen, and Marc Felix; brother, Edgar Felix; sister, Joyce Dean; grandchildren, Fred Wagner III, Jake Kitchen, and Stevie Cooper ; great grandchildren, Ethan, Cheyenne, and Branna.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Phil Felix on Sunday, November 19, 2017, 2 to 6 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017, in the Mooresville Friends Meeting, 50 N. Monroe St., Mooresville. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis.
