Phyllis J. Bayliff, 84, of Lafayette, died September 18, 2011, in IU Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. She was born September 13, 1927, to the late D. and Mimi Galbraith.
Phyllis worked for the State of Indiana Highway Department for over 31 years as a key punch operator in pay roll. She attended the Monticello Christian Church and worked for three years at Sam’s Club on 86th Street. Mrs. Bayliff enjoyed watching game shows and solving crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry V. Bayliff, to whom she was united in marriage on February 21, 1946.
Survivors include her daughter, Bernadine Phillips of Indianapolis; son, Harry Bayliff, Jr. of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Beth Ann Kroll of New Mexico and Ronnie Phillips of Lafayette; ten great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Rev. Billy J. Gott will officiate the service. Interment will be at White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
